Give them a chance

Watched a show called "Give them a chance" yesterdae nite starring Andy Hui. Andy Lau was the guest star in the show who acted himself. The show was based on a true story about problem kids with a love for dancing who overcame a series of struggles to prove themselves and realise their dreams.

In society, we always see and label problem kids as no good doers, trouble makers who have constant shaves with the law. They generally grow up to be gangsters and waste their whole life languishing in vice. . . But this is not necessarily true. In this show, the kids never commit any crimes. They just love to dance. Due to the fact that they do not have a proper area to dance and their problems at home, they choose to stay out late with their friends and spend their time dancing.

In the show, it showcased a few examples on how society chooses to view them. Of cuz, there are pple who choose to believe in them too. Andy Hui acted as a previous problem kid turned good. He spotted the kids' love for dancing. Hence, together with his younger bro, he started a dance studio for the kids and went around tryin to secure dancing jobs for them. They were eventually spotted by Andy Lau and was invited to dance in his 2001 concert at the Hong Kong coliseum.

If pple do not give this kids a chance to prove themselves, and choose to be critical of them, they would never be able to stand up and make it big in life.

Deviance is not a crime. The only crime is viewing deviance as a crime.
