Music and its flavours.
Funny. Perhaps it is magic.
It is funny how Music spins delicate tales around people and interwines the hearts of them since everyone has different interpretations of the same piece of music. Despite that, it manages to spin intricate webs that link different people throughout the world.
This is especially felt due to the rapidly shrinking world where one end of the globe could immerse itself in the richly different culture of another living on the other side. Certainly, Music succeeds to capture the images of the ordinary and captivate the extraordinary imagination of those who has been absorbed by its intensity and magic.
The diverse culture across borders means that music which narrates similar stories are on vast ends of each pole. Yet, each successful piece of music, despite being different in nature, brings out the story within. They just achieve their means through thoroughly different methods.
And the listeners living in this age are the one who benefit most as they can easily immerse themselves in latin American music or Japanese folk music. There are burgeoning varieties to choose from as the world "shinks". It is not alien to see that in just a classroom, everyone has different tastes to music.
Interestingly, due to globalisation, cultural diffusion occurs. Cultural diffusion simply refers to the well-attested transfer of cultural items from one culture to another. It is not a surprising phenonemon to observe that music with different innate characteristics start showing similarities of different genre. Mandarin Pop now has rap and R&B. It is certainly a relevation to see how different genres of music now exhibit similar flavours as well as striving to retain its own uniqueness.

Cog.
I changed the music on my blog yet again. This time, you have to start the music manually using the play button located on the right under the section "Music".

I am finding myself blogging rather infrequently. This is because nothing interesting ever goes on in my life. The cycle repeats itself and I realise I am just a cog in a wheel, running the process in a mundane manner. One day I shall lose my worth and let another cog take my place.
Boring 'o' life.
Oh my oh my. Time to sleep.
This cog needs oil to fine tune.

Gosh I was so addicted that I kept thinking of going home today during lecture so that I could listen to him.

Next time I need money, I can just get him to print some for me.

Singing stuff.
After some training, and as a bass 2, I am now able to sing from the C 2 octaves below mid C or probably even lower till G above mid C. The moment I try to go above G mid C, I will sound like I am slaughtering pigs. LOL.
Next target is to sing at least a full octave above mid C. I know I can.
For now, more glasses are to be shattered at home.

Fetish.
I am in love with this Jay Chou's song 菊花台. Wonder if you peeps can hear the song with the blog or not?
This is a rare song that Jay actually sings with rather proper dictation. A change in style? OR to suit the movie? Anyway, this song is so 中国风. Wished that I would be able to write such lyrics too. It's beyond my current standard now. But who knows in the future?
My current3 minute fetish is to be a song writer.
Need to churn out all the "black ink" from my stomach to produce some decent lyrics now.
I suddenly want to write a poem for someone.

A mimic of 绝对superstar
Hee. In moi 4th post of this blog which is many months back, i mentioned that i want to increase my range. Haa now i am able to sing most songs. But the current standing obstacle is to improve my basic singing technique. My bro gave me quite a few comments regarding my singing. He's just like one of the judges in 绝对superstar lo.
缺点:
1. 唱歌没感情.
2. 唱得很生硬, 没有联接.
2. 尾音收的不好, 很"虚".
4. 高音完全没技巧.
优点:
1. 声音具有磁性, 能吸引人.

Called in 933
Yesh! Got in to 933 at 1 plus am 3 days ago. Got it at the second attempt at dialin the number. First time that i called through 933! And the best thing is the dj is Pei Fen. She's my fav dj!! My heart thumps at an unbelievable rate when she answered my phone. So fun talking to her. .

Wonder when the rain would stop. The weather now seems fine but a while ago it was still rainin. And the cloud outside still appears unrelentless in their pursue for more rain. i wan to be a sop
sadd... i wan to sing all those stunning notes. i wan to be able to hit anythin above a C to a high C. But sob... i m a bass with a singing voice so much lower den the normal average person on the street. And it seems almost impossible for mi to sing songs with the normal key. i hav nothing against singin using a lower key cuz i believe that many pple would oso face the same problem as mi. but....
it jus old stubborn mi. being sooo old (21) and continuin to be so, my bones r desperately goin creakin and i cant be as flexible as i would like animore. i muz hit the high notes! i muz sing!! i realise i have a penchant for singin and i would regret it if i do not hit those far reachin high notes in my life. i wan to increase my higher range by an octave. I am goin to develop my mid voice and head voice and exploit the plausible potential that is inborn in mi. God sent
haha once i reach my range, i would further improve my support, vocal and tone quality and then i would go and sing in the ktv. but onli when i increase my vocal range. i have made a solemn vow not to step into a ktv until i reach my dream range... bwahahaha...
below r some exercises for increasing vocal range. dunno whether it works
Time for that tape recorder. This is a biggie.
We are going to sing HHHAH as we go up the scale.
Start on any note you want.
Sing HHHAH.
Sing the next note up the scale.
Continue up the scale until you can't sing HHHAH without it breaking.
Your voice will sound like it's breaking. You'll sound like an adolescent whose voice is changing or like a honking goose.
Hold the breaking note for a second
Sing the note just below on the scale.
This is your note! Yay!
Sing this note for a long time into the recorder. See if you can match it when you play back. Sing along with yourself. Now, while it's fresh in your mind, rewind back to the start of your tape and record it at the very beginning. You don't have to do it as one note, but put about 30 seconds of it at the start of the tape for reference later. Whenever you record yourself after this, leave some of the original note at the beginning.
After a week or so, redo the exercises above to find your note. As you get better, your vocal range will increase. Eventually, your base note will go up.
When that happens, move your voice up, and keep adjusting it as necessary until you like the note you're using.
