Casualpoet
Tata!!~~
I was walking along the busy shop houses of Chinatown in the hot afternoon a few weeks ago when something, at an inconspicuous corner, caught my dizzy attention.
Placed on the wall on the right just in front of a sleazy looking flight of stairs was the poster shown on top.
I have always been a fan and probably a slave to the word creativity. Hence, the curious mind willed the legs to take myself up that sleepy flight of stairs amidst the bustling streets of Chinatown.
What greeted me was the bewildered shop owners - 2 sisters and the boyfriend of the younger sis.
And not to mention another 2 curious guys who saw the poster.
The place was messy, due to the renovation works that were still undergoing but I believe the place will be tastefully done up, judging from that 50% completed work.
Anyway, I enjoyed a small talk with the shop owner but time was pressing me to move on as I had another appointment.
However, I will be back there soon.
The link is http://blog.casualpoet.com instead of the one that is stated on the poster.
Do visit if you are interested. I am not paid to do this. No worries.I just want to promote what I like!! =)

Soccer Crazed.
But school work is an enemy of soccer..
The only soccer that I played recently was last Saturday's kick about with some secondary school kids and a couple of uncles at the field near my house. The kids are pretty decent players; 2 play for the Young Lions and an other one is in Saint Andrew's school team.
The goal that we used was wooden poles stuck to the ground, which was different from the cones that they used previously. I guessed the cones were already spoilt as they are easily damaged from the crushing impact of shots. The wooden poles are much sturdier, but they make potholes on the pitch and that isn't very pitch friendly isn't it?
Hmm, out of curiosity, I went to check up various types of alternatives like real soccer nets and I came across this website called Soccer Goals. It offers a rather wide range of portable pop up soccer goals with various sizes. Ideal for the kids who want to train professionally on a field with no fixed soccer nets at all. In addition, it will not damage the pitch unlike the unsightly wooden poles currently in use.
I will definitely recommend them to take a look at the website when I play with them the next time round. Having taken a look at the various soccer goals, I believe the Portable Backyard 6 ’ x 4 ’ Competition Folding Kids Soccer Goal is a suitable goal for them. The small goal improves precision and accuracy and the joy of scoring means that you do not have to run and get the ball which has gone off to a distance. The net is conditioned for all weathers too! This simply means rain or shine, it will not fail us as we play with scant regard to the unpredictable weather. I can't wait to try ramming the goals in if they do get the soccer goal!
The soccer rebounders displayed seem quite interesting too. Cool for any players who have the motivation to play alone. This reminded me of my late army nights when I trained alone with only my water bottle and handphone accompanying me. I was more focused on juggling as shooting and passing were ridiculous without a mate. However, the rebounders could solve that problem immediately as I could keep on shooting without the chore of picking the ball out of the net.
Well, the thing that probably deters me is the price of the soccer goals. It isn't that cheap from $49.99 onwards. However, it still boasts of a competitive market price when compared to other companies. If you are looking for a goal for professional training, I propose getting your own soccer goals now!!
You can access the website at http://www.soccergoalzinc.com
Anyway, soccer tomorrow. Prays for a hat trick.

Blogging - the purpose of it all.
I guess my area of concern for now will generally steer towards money making opportunities through blogging. Therefore, it is for good reason that I breached this subject while messengering Pui today.
I had a mini msn conversation with Pui today afternoon about how good it will be to earn enough money through blogging. We both admitted that blogging is a rather lucrative business.
She lamented " it will be serious fun to be able to laze around at home yet being able to earn 1000 in cash week in week out." Well, it goes along the line like this, though that wasn't really direct from her mouth. It just depends on how popular your blog is, and how popular you are in real / reel life.
The pressure is definitely on for such bloggers to produce quality content continuously in order to satisfy the paying audience. I could sense a couple of white hair strands popping out the moment this thought crosses my mind.
I am not inclined to think that my blog will ever become that famous, except I am putting myself in other people's shoes. Of course, if sharing their pressure equates to sharing their money earned, I will gladly offer my services.
But the heck with it. If I am really under such a heavy stress, and all the undesirable effects come caving in, I suppose I will walk away from it all. There are many avenues of earning money. Money can be earned the hard way too.
If only it can be so easy. .
Even if one can walk away from it all with no strings attached, one has the obligation-responsibility to carry on blogging. Just think about the massive audience who will be disappointed. Think about it. If Jay Chou decides to shrug his shoulders and say:" I am quitting music", or Steven Gerrad announces, " I am going to hang up my boots".
Gosh, I am diverting already.
Anyway, peeps, whether this is a private venue for me to rant, or it being a public blog with thousands of viewers, I will always try to write good quality posts. Not just for my sake, but for the readers' sake too. I am not doing it for money at all. Money is just an incentive.
Even if one day, there is only going to be one reader here, I will still continue to post. Just for your sake.
LOL!!
