Duck hearts, tongue, and wings
These were photos taken weeks ago, courtesy of Jow's superb camera phone. Jow, Ah Chua and me were at Chinatown that day to scout for travel packages to go to Bangkok for holiday. In the end, we decided to book the air tickets and hotel separately.
Lunch was imminent after we met and hence we went to one of the complex to settle our devilish cravings. We had our fill when Ah Chua decided to treat us to something cool after I had coolly taken on the challenge of eating Duck wings, heart and tongue. EEEKS.
The one on the right with the tentacles is the tongue and the one that is skewered in a row are 3 duck hearts.
I am smiling broadly with the duck heart at my mercy but seriously, I wasn't too amused at the thought of eating the heart. It has a rubbery texture and certainly does not whet my appetite.

After that little misadventure, we went to Casualpoet, a place which I have previously recommended.
Ah Chua looking very happy.

Overall, Casualpoet is a nice place to have a cup of coffee and talk with your friends while you laze through your entire afternoon. =))

Casualpoet
Tata!!~~
I was walking along the busy shop houses of Chinatown in the hot afternoon a few weeks ago when something, at an inconspicuous corner, caught my dizzy attention.
Placed on the wall on the right just in front of a sleazy looking flight of stairs was the poster shown on top.
I have always been a fan and probably a slave to the word creativity. Hence, the curious mind willed the legs to take myself up that sleepy flight of stairs amidst the bustling streets of Chinatown.
What greeted me was the bewildered shop owners - 2 sisters and the boyfriend of the younger sis.
And not to mention another 2 curious guys who saw the poster.
The place was messy, due to the renovation works that were still undergoing but I believe the place will be tastefully done up, judging from that 50% completed work.
Anyway, I enjoyed a small talk with the shop owner but time was pressing me to move on as I had another appointment.
However, I will be back there soon.

Vday!
Happy Vday PEEPS!! n friendship day too!!! =D
It seems kind of strange to be tuning to the radio ( Yes 933 ) and all the songs they are playing are love songs. That is the power of Valentine's Day. What a massive influence it has on the mass media too. The singles and couples listening to the radio now must have been on polar extremes. Not for me anyway; I have been so accustomed to it.
I just hope. Really hope. That the people I love. Be healthy and nice.
Anyway, I dedicate the below song "An Jing" to people who is in this particular predicament. I sang it myself some weeks back and pardon my really awful singing. I know it sucks, but i could not resist the temptation to scare some people. Listen if u want nightmares.
On a serious note, I want to improve on how I sing my notes, and it is better to keep track of my progress.

Little Play
Will be going for Yishun Kids camp from tomorrow till wednesday but I guess I will not be missed much though. Spent some time in making Little Brown n Little White. Will be busying myself with more friends for both of them when I come back from camp. WHeee HOoo.

Sometimes the simplest looking ones are the most laborious. As the saying goes, one cannot judge by appearances. You really need to understand the processes before you can get a clearer picture. Which explains why the picture is so blur.

The 交交 competition.
Pei and me always broach the seriously lame categories of conversation and delve into it like we were fallen pins under the inevitable pull of gravity.

She was commenting on how 滥交 I was because I add unknown people in friendster. Sadly my frivolous nature was put under scrutiny but I bounced back immediately by saying that wasn't 滥交 but it is called 网交, a term that I coined for people whom I know through the net. I obviously had nothing good in my brain, because I added that people whom I know through the phone are called 口交. Ahahaa. Talking about a blow-job here. Of cause no one will be impressed by that. Hence I continued. People whom I know through common interests are then called 兴交 (性交). For example, people whom I play soccer with are 兴交. Jow and co are all 兴交.

The Dirty Chee Go Pek in me soon took a heavy beating in the form of extreme lameness from pei. Who else? She really ranks high in the lame department. Gosh. She shot a rapid series of 交s.

A dedication on 4th May.
Received a pleasant suprise today. =)
And it sparked me to write in to yes933 for the 2nd time. It is a dedication to all my friends and it will be aired on 4th May, hopefully. The last time I wrote in, I got an earful from my friends because I only dedicate the song to 2 of my female friends.
I got "shot" because of that. And I cannot shake off the tag of being 重色轻友. Below is a funny recording of the punishment that I received on that day for not dedicating to any of my friends. Click on the icon to listen.

Wandering.
Being obsessed with something or nothing at all is never good news.
Been spending quite a lot of time honing my skills in a particular pc game called football manager 2007. One of my favourite footballing tittles.
Was musing over the fact that restarting the game whenever I lose in a match has been a viable and welcome option for me nowadays rather than when I just started out on my current game. The disenchantment of losing a game is too much now when the possibility of winning tittles is there.
I suppose, in life, as we climb higher, we are more preoccupied with more material gains that we half expected in the past. And I conclude: Human nature.
However, will we lose out more than what we seek to gain in a quest for glory? Well, I am always searching for the best bargains that this question rendered me a bit clueless.
Life is not all about winning? Wondering if it is ever true. Whenever you get the medal that you have been aiming for, someone must balance it out by crying over his loss. Boy, does it even matter to the winning party?
Well, as we wander on in this path of life, we might end up realizing that everything is just a game and that fleeting moments of glory do not give you a lifetime of joy.

I am cuckoo.
I got a lot of 5 cents coins in my wallet. 17 to be exact. The irony was, I did not bring any money to school today, except for the pathetic 5 cent coins, which is only sufficient for a 200ml daisy plain milk pack.
Well, I now owe Sk $20. And pui $50.

Anyway, I am such a cuckoo. I thought I was to meet my buddy Sian on Wednesday, but when she sent me a message at 2pm asking where I am, I knew I was done for. I made the silly mistake of assuming that our date was on Wednesday, which in fact was today.
Just before the message, I was sitting happily at the engine canteen with friends. After the message, I was practically in a fix.
While I was thinking of ways to rectify the foolish mistake, she called, and she was running out of patience at the other side. I sheepishly informed her of my error in judgment and that I would rush down in superman speed. 30minutes to be exact.
Then I looked at my food which I just bought. Gosh. This is a real test of my mettle. Muslim food was not to be trifled with if you plan to gobble them at full speed. However, I completed the feat in incredible haste.
So far so good. A mad rush to clementi, where I was supposed to meet her.
Anyway, thanks for the complimentary movie. Now I need to find time to watch a movie. And people to watch. Haha!!

A strange tradition.
Do you know that the 布农族 (a native tribe in Taiwan) has a strange tradition of chasing a girl?
When the guy is interested in a gal who probably lives over the neighbouring hill, he will tell his parents. Then they will signal their sign of approval.
不错.不错.她长得也差不多了. (It's like they are inspecting a commodity which can be bought in the market)
Therefore, the guy will pay a visit to the gal's parents without the latter's knowledge. They will accept a newborn mice from the guy as the bridal price.
The stage is now set and ready.
The gal's parents will lock the door in such a way that it can be broken easily. Come nightfall, the guy will break the door open and straight away make for the gal. He will carry her off on his back, leaving the parents putting on an act by chasing them for a distance.

Come to think of it, there are actually similar traditions where the gals are always treated as commodities and sold off in exchange for animals. Throw in all the cows, sheep, lambs, horses, and you get your fair maiden.

Drawings.
Was studying a bit when my concentration let me down again. My desire to play got the better of me. Started to finish off a drawing which should have been completed a few weeks back.

It ends happily ever after.
Haa. Saw a funny incident on the mrt todae. A guy was fast asleep and he was slowly leanin and "pivotin" towards a gal sittin on his right. The gal was lookin so dejected and forlorn that she may juz burst out to tears as she tried to distance herself from the man, manoeuverin and inchin her way away. The man, oblivious to his surrounding, was swayin like a pendulum but he was gettin closer to the gal's shoulder exactly like how a plant would lean towards sunlight.
I dun mean to be mean, but i was tryin hard to stifle my laughter when i saw the desperate look on the gal's face. As i turned around, there were several onlookers who were smiling wryly too. We were waitin for the climax, anticipatin, as if we were spectators viewin a circus act which involved a clown puttin his head into the lion's mouth where its gleamin teeth lies amidst.
Well, i decided to act the hero. I went up to tap the man on his lap and told him tat he was gettin into someone's way. The gal never even realised tat she was safe momentarily as she was lowerin her head and probably closin her eyes and sayin a silent prayer. But she did realise seconds later and she shot mi a glance. issit a thank you? haha i wun be able to find out since i was reachin my stop.
As i was about to alight, the gal glanced at mi again, with eyes that seemed to send out sos. The man was fast asleep again and turnin veggie. Noo more interference from mi. i juz smiled widely. I am not any prince charmin. i probably look more like Michael Jackson wif tat smile. Bye Cinderella. NITE PEEPS!!

I am a Chihuahua!

The below is a brief description on wat i am like. If u are interested, u may find out for urself wat breed of dog u are, as there are only 15 qns and takes quite fast to finish.
No bones about it, you're an energetic, devoted Chihuahua. For your breed, size definitely doesn't matter. After all, sometimes the best things (diamonds, car keys, Godiva truffles) come in small packages. Honest and straightforward, you're never afraid to speak up for what you believe in, especially if it's a cause near and dear to your heart. Having such a passionate personality can come with a few drawbacks, though. You can be moody at times, and people often find it hard to live up to your high standards. But once you make a friend, it's for life. Saucy and intense, your energy and unfailing loyalty make you a great companion. Woof!
